"Psychologists recognize that there are nine different types of intelligence: logical-mathematical, musical, naturalist, spatial, intra-personal, linguistic, bodily-kinesthetic, interpersonal, and existential. Of these, logical-mathematical, bodily-kinesthetic, and linquistic intelligence are typically the most prized in our culture. Interpersonal and intra-personal intelligence entail sensing the feelings and motives of others and understanding your own emotions, wants, and needs. In other words: these intelligences reveal what it means to be human."
To communicate the idea of empathy I used the color purple as a way of visually representing a shared understanding between the four figures in the design. The figures are all different colors, representing them as individuals, while the purple spreads between them from where their heads, the real center of human emotion, meet.
